School is starting already??

I cannot believe it! I'm a little sad. We had a ball at the pools this summer. Both kids improved 110%. M is pretty much swimming on her own & O is too! O has become MUCH more comfortable in the water. I guess the key was to let him do it at his own pace. He actually loves to swim! :-)

Lets see, what has been going on?

*Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins suprised everyone for a visit. They just showed up in the burbs at my nieces bday party. It was crazy! They stayed a week up there and a week down here. We had a lot of fun and I know the kids were thrilled to have them here (as were we!) It had been over a year since we'd seen them last. They left this morning on a 27hr driving trek. Been there, done that. When we were there last, we had driven. Quite a long drive but well worth it.

*O starts up soccer and swimming lessons this week. O starts 1st Grade in 3 days!!! He's a little nervous this time around. We aren't sure why. We went and got school supples for both him and M today. Quite expensive I must say.

*M starts swimming this week too. She'll be in her last year of preschool this year, in the 4's program. She will go 3 days a week for 2.5hrs. She loves it!

*As for me, I'll be hit up to do something as soon as school starts. For M's preschool I'm El Presidente for the Parent/Teacher League. For O's school I'm just on the PTA. School starts Wed, someone will call Wed afternoon. LOL! I'm happy to help out but not for everything.

*Matt is good, chugging away at work. Nothing new with him.
